Fred Gardea – President

A PANG Board member since April 2017, Fred was elected Board President April 2018.

Fred is a retired Air Force Chief Master Sergeant, serving 25 years in the Air force and Arizona Air National Guard. He is also a retired manager for SRP (Salt River Project) with over 32 years of service. Most recently, he has been a member of the Arizona Corporate Council for Veteran Careers as well as holding various positions at SRP on the SRPVETS Employee Interest Group.

Fred is an Arizona native, growing up in the small eastern mining town of Globe Arizona. Married with 2 daughters. Free time is spent as a drummer for a local Phoenix band, called Slightly Right.

Why Volunteer? After spending 20 years in the Az Air National Guard, experiencing first-hand the passion to support the military from the community, the interaction with the Arizona National Guard, and the need for continued community support for our Veterans, the PANG Patriots was the logical choice. The Phoenix Air National Guard is my family and PANG Patriots provides the opportunity to give back to the Guard, that provided so much for me and my family.
